Job Summary:
Basra Delight is looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Chef to support the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate should have experience in food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and assisting in kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are maintained.
- Help in cutting, chopping, marinating, and other food preparation tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure ingredients are properly stored.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ISO 9001 standards.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff when needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Fluency in Arabic (English is a plus).
